Up here in the northern hemisphere spring stand on the verge of springing. For those down under, fall stands ready to do its autumnal falling. Either way, the Sun spends the next thirty degrees in Aries. The Sun does not travel alone while in this self-referential sign. He is accompanied by the gaseous giants Saturn and Neptune, the centaur Chiron, dwarf planets Salacia and Eris with the personal planet Venus until the end of the month. Then on 9 April, the lord of Aries, Mars crosses the stellar referenced state line into his own domain where he stirs it up until 18 May. Is there a better time to ram it forward in life?
Mars will not catch up with the Sun or Venus in this cycle. However, the rest of the players he intends to engage in a timely manner:
12 April - Mars to Neptune
19 April - Mars to Saturn
20 April - Mercury conjoins Mars
25 April - Mars to Salacia
12 May - Mars to Eris
16 May - Mars to Chiron
What are the ways Mars can ram? Consider his north node is Taurus. His perihelion falls in Pisces. His moons are irregular in shape and named Phobos (fear and panic) and Deimos (terror and dread). That’s a kettle of fish for his perihelion in Pisces to process. In pitching to the film industry as a writer, they say the executives can sniff out the room and establish how desperate the writer happens to be. Given most writers have Mars in their horoscopes, the money earned (Taurus) will resolve life situations far more easily. The key is not to anticipate any response at all. The “desperate persons do desperate things” axiom clearly applies. Mars frequently incites impulsiveness based upon a fear of not being able to achieve what is truly required to sustain oneself in life.
Mars to Neptune
The first transit in the above schedule of actions Mars intends to engage distinctly provokes the perihelion of Mars. Neptune tends to inflame suspicions, doubt outcomes and fear for the worst scenario imaginable to evolve. The solution to fear-based projections comes from first reviewing life activities that produced desirable results. What did you do? What was the attitude with which those actions were executed? Can you locate where in your body the reaction to those successes exists and ping it to awaken? Taking all steps with confidence and no expectation of outcome is clearly the Chicken Soup required in this time.
Mars to Saturn
There is no more determined aspect when it comes to getting ones way than Mars to Saturn. Recognition and awards for hard work previously executed are likely. Saturn shuns resting on ones laurels of accomplishments and presses Mars to locate the next task that must be taken on with equal diligence, determination and duty. This is clearly a “if you’re taking up space and not doing anything useful get the hell of out my way” aspect. Irritation with nuisance distraction rises. Annoyance at those who will not get off their arse and help themselves peaks. Anger at conditions, circumstances and persons may appear. The antidote is to find the path of least resistance and pursue it. Other factors to keep in mind, some gain is better than no gain, even if well short of the major stated objective. Progress must be clearly annotated and recognized. Assume that those who get in your way, do not fully understand what plan you have in play and what your timeline happens to be. Given all that, make hay. Daylight is burning and all those other things that note that energy must be applied to circumstances at the time summoned without delay.
Mercury to Mars
Like spilling the content of a package of M and M candy, this is a colorful transit. Certainly the language Mercury spits out if agitated by Mars is colorful. But more, Mercury intends to communicate the facts about what Mars is up to and why. Mercury, given Aries tendency to over expedite, might rush through a mental list of things others need to know. That’s not going to produce optimal results. While Christmas may be in the rear view mirror and Easter on the horizon, take Santa’s approach to communication. Make that list of everyone’s desires and expectations and check it twice. Make a separate list of your own wants and anticipation and check it thrice (Mercury must orbit the Sun three times for all parts of the messenger to receive sunlight). Articulate each and every item on your list regardless of how you think others may react and respond.
Mars to Salacia
This stands second most critical transit in the above list for impact to the Piscean perihelion of the Martian because Salacia is the wife of Neptune, ruler of Pisces. She also travels in same sign as Neptune and will do so without interruption until 2040. Whether or not Salacia wanted to be Neptune’s wife is part of a heated ongoing discussion. For Salacia the question is: If you hold what is precious and dear above all other considerations, do you lose the satisfaction that life offers? There is the consideration that Salacia did not wish to surrender her virginity to Neptune. Given that, does that mean she’s willing to sacrifice sexual pleasure? The key here for all people is to weigh the options at hand. Ultimately, which option best suits your nature? Go with that. It may feel oxymoronic. But consider that Ixion, the second chance ruling dwarf planet in Capricorn, recently transited by Mars through a stracky square (21 April), points out if you don’t like the way things turned out, do what it takes to change all resulting conditions into nominal results. There’s another chance as soon as you take refreshed action.
Mars to Eris
This transit garners extra notability because Eris totally enjoyed the company of Ares when creating mayhem and discord. Resist the urge to blow up the bridge when it stands on the verge of completion. Figure out how well you respond to confusion and chaos. Remember this Aries Mars sequence commenced with a conjunction to Neptune. What adrenalin, endorphin rush is required to sustain your interest and reenforce your attention to all things required in the moment? How can you fuel that to create order? This is a battle to win, with no consideration of any war in progress. You’re getting close, very close. Remember that Venus needs to learn how to receive good things in her consciousness before she can. Find out how she’s doing with all that. Emulate her efforts that function well. At this point, there’s no wadding up the lottery ticket and tossing it in the bin before checking the numbers. All your effort, given you followed planetary protocols and suggestions might lie around the next bend.
Mars to Chiron
Take a moment to recall how was Chiron wounded. By impulsive warding off of the centaurs on the part Hercules during one of the many occasions when the centaurs did their instinctive drunk on wine (Neptune) debacles. To boot, Hercules fired arrows poisoned by Chiron. It was indeed a martial act to shoot arrows (and possibly Sag/Jupiter, too). Poisoned concoctions on arrows - definitely Neptune. Now we’re back to clearing the first transit Mars engaged in this Aries cycle, his conjunction to Neptune. First, create a clear perspective on the situation at hand. Ask how this situation impacts you and your trajectory in life physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Notice if this affects your domestic and social life. Next, imagine, using the best Neptune and Salacia in Aries have to offer, what it takes to apply salve to whatever imbalances are noted. Note what you can do to ensure that all request chits submitted by Venus back in March are fulfilled and then given the benefit of a contingency fund. Doesn’t that feel great?
Truly the one thing in life that you can count on with no need for contingency is what you’ll do about all the situations at hand. Will you ram it through or will you exert the precise effort energetically compatible in the situations at hand?
